Full, bulky, and dense heads avg. 11–12" long. Very attractive dark red. NOTE: More prone to internal tipburn (decay of inner leaves that is not visible in uncut heads), especially in hot weather, than green varieties. Somewhat susceptible to bolting under stressful conditions, such as cold nighttime temperatures (below 50°F) after transplanting.
